Spain’s split results in the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers were enough to boost them to 5th place in the FIBA World Rankings.

Despite a loss to Latvia, Spain managed to bounce back with a win over Belgium, causing them to move up a spot. Canada, who had lost its final two games in the FIBA AmeriCup 2025 Qualifiers, dropped to 6th, making room for Spain to rise.

The top four teams remained unchanged, with the United States still holding the top spot after securing two wins in the FIBA AmeriCup Qualifiers, followed by Serbia, World Cup champions Germany, and France. All these teams also earned two victories in the EuroBasket Qualifiers.

In the rest of the top 10, Australia, Argentina, Latvia, and Lithuania held onto their positions. Slovenia, after splitting their two games, moved up to 11th, overtaking Brazil, who also had a 1-1 record in their qualifiers.

On the move in other regions, Chinese Taipei, Norway, and Mali saw notable jumps in the rankings after successful results in their respective qualifiers. China Taipei rose to No. 75, while Mali climbed to No. 80.

Notable climbs outside the top 100 came from Mongolia and Madagascar, both moving up in the rankings following key victories in their qualifiers.
