Lakers head coach JJ Redick emphasized that heightened physicality was the key to the Game 2 win, and also addressed his fiery third-quarter timeout, saying it was simply about getting everyone back on the same page.

After the game, Lakers head coach JJ Redick emphasized that a major factor in the victory was the team’s elevated physicality—something he felt was lacking in Game 1.
"We were very physical tonight, as were they," Redick said.
"I think the playoffs require a different level, and like I’d said pregame, it took us about two and a half quarters in Game 1 to get to that level of physicality," coach added.
Redick also addressed a heated timeout in the third quarter that caught attention online, where he was seen yelling, “What the f*ck are you guys doing?” He explained it was less about frustration and more about refocusing the team.
"I’ve done that in a game a handful of times—in six preseason games, 82 regular season—it was at 90 games. I’ve done it a handful of times," Redick noted.
"It’s not something I want to do," he explained. "It’s not something I’m more than comfortable doing. But I think tonight, it was just about flipping that urgency switch back on."
