FC Barcelona has officially introduced their new signings for the 2024-25 season, including Juan Núñez, Kevin Punter, Justin Anderson, Chimezie Metu, and Youssoupha Fall.
FC Barcelona has unveiled its new roster for the 2024-25 season, marking the beginning of a new chapter with the introduction of five new signings.
Juan Nunez, Kevin Punter, Justin Anderson, Chimezie Metu, and Youssoupha Fall were officially presented at a ceremony led by club president Joan Laporta.
Joan Laporta highlighted the challenge of maintaining high standards after their recent European championship win.
“We have been European champions, so we have set the bar high. This motivates us and is a challenge, but we must also ensure the team remains sustainable,” Laporta said.
Josep Cubells, the director responsible for the basketball section, provided a detailed overview of what each new player is expected to bring to the team.
He praised Nunez as "the jewel of Spanish basketball" and expressed high hopes for him.
Punter is anticipated to be a leading figure and a key player, while Anderson and Fall were noted for their physical and defensive capabilities.
Fall is the tallest player in the club’s history, and Metu is expected to be one of the season's surprises due to his versatility and skill.
