Grimau was let go after just one season with the team after replacing Sarunas Jasikevicius last summer.
Just one season after changing the head coach, FC Barcelona are doing it again.
The Catalan club announced the departure of head coach Roger Grimau after a single season with the team.
Grimau's contract was valid until June 30th, 2025, but the organization decided to terminate the contract prematurely.
Grimau replaced Sarunas Jasikevicius last summer. Despite the club signing notable names like Willy Hernangomez and Ricky Rubio, it was the first trophyless season for Barca since the 2016-17 season.
Rookie EuroLeague head coach Grimau led Barca to a 4th-place EuroLeague regular-season finish with 22 wins and 12 losses. The team then got eliminated in the quarterfinals by Olympiacos Piraeus in a five-game series.
Barca placed third in the Spanish Liga Endesa (ACB) and got eliminated in the semifinals by Real Madrid.
