Former 19th NBA pick Luka Samanic officially joined Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul on a 1-year deal until the end of the 2024-25 season.
Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul officially announced that Luka Samanic is joining the club.
According to an announcement, Samanic signed a 1-year deal until the end of the 2024-25 season.
BasketNews reported about Fenerbahce's interest in Samanic on August 3.
Samanic spent the last season with the Utah Jazz in the NBA, averaging 4.1 points and 2.4 rebounds in 43 games. During his time in the NBA, Samanic has also played for the San Antonio Spurs.
The 24-year-old Croatian player left Europe in the summer of 2019 when he was drafted with the 19th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. However, he has struggled to find a consistent role in the league since then.
During this offseason, Fenerbahce already signed Wade Baldwin, Bonzie Colson, Nicolo Melli and extended the contract of Nigel Hayes-Davis.
