Jrue Holiday will return to Team USA's lineup for the Paris 2024 Olympics quarterfinal match against Brazil on Tuesday after recovering from an ankle injury.
NBA champion Jrue Holiday is set to return to Team USA's lineup on Tuesday for their Paris 2024 Olympics quarterfinal against Brazil.
The 34-year-old guard had to sit out the United States' final group stage game on Saturday due to an ankle injury, but coach Steve Kerr confirmed after their 104-83 win over Puerto Rico that Holiday would be ready for the playoff game against Brazil.
"He would've played had this been a medal-round game," Kerr explained. "But it made sense to give him the night, give him an extra couple of days to heal."
Holiday injured his ankle last Wednesday during Team USA's 103-86 victory over South Sudan.
In his two appearances at the Paris Olympics, he has averaged 10.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists.
Team USA finished the group stage with a 3-0 record. They will face Brazil at 3:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
A victory would advance them to the semifinals, where they would face the winner of the Serbia vs. Australia match on Thursday.
