AS Monaco officially announced that the Lithuanian center extended his contract with the club for two more seasons.

BasketNews' Donatas Urbonas wrote about the two sides nearing an agreement to continue their partnership last week.

"For the last three years, the goal was to win the EuroLeague. I am extremely happy to stay in Monaco to try to achieve this goal, to try to make this dream come true," the big man said following the announcement.

Motiejunas had serious interest from EA7 Emporio Armani Milan this offseason. Additionally, the 33-year-old was in talks with Zalgiris Kaunas about a possible return to Lithuanian.

Lasts season, Motiejunas averaged 8.8 points and 3.4 rebounds for 10.1 PIR in the EuroLeague. He was an essential piece of the team during the playoffs, averaging 13.2 points and 3.6 rebounds for 15.4 PIR in the series against Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul.
