Brown, 28, is set to make his EuroLeague debut after spending the last two seasons with Pinar Karsiyaka, where he averaged 13.5 points and 4.6 boards in Turkish BSL action and 13.3 points, 4.2 rebounds over 15 BCL games.

He tallied 39 points and 16 rebounds in three games in a 0-3 loss to Anadolu Efes in the Turkish playoff semifinals.

Brown has already experienced the French league, since his first year in Europe took place in France with Le Mans during the 2020-2021 season. Playing alongside his new teammate, Terry Tarpey, he averaged 10 points and 3.5 rebounds.

"He was very knowledgeable about life abroad for us Americans, so obviously he helped me. He gave me a lot of wisdom. He showed me what the culture was like here in France as an American abroad. This helped me a lot. And I'm really looking forward to playing with him again. He's a hard-working guy," Brown told the club's website about Tarpey.

The American forward went to college in Wisconsin (2014-17), where he played the 2015 NCAA title game, before moving to the G-League and to Europe at the age of 24.

"I chose Monaco because, of all the teams I was talking to and considering joining, they seemed to offer me the best opportunity," Brown said.

"They needed me in the '4' position, but of course they also offer me the possibility of winning. It is a club which has established itself as one of the best in Europe. It's been several years now."

Brown also pointed out that at 28, he's in his prime.

"For me, this is the perfect time. I can't say it was a career goal [to play in the EuroLeague], because my goals have always been to play at the highest level possible, whether overseas or in the NBA," he said.
