According to BasketNews sources, the 33-year-old Lithuanian big man is nearing an agreement to stay in Monaco for two more years.
The 2.13-meter tall center was under contract with AS Monaco until 2025, but his deal included a player option for the 2024-25 season.
Motiejunas was in talks with EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, but Monaco convinced him to stay with the club on a new agreement.
In the 2023-24 EuroLeague season, Motiejunas averaged 8.8 points (60.9% 2P, 37.7% 3P), 3.4 rebounds, and 0.9 assists in less than 18 minutes per game.
Last season, only two EuroLeague players averaged more than 10.0 PIR in less than 18 minutes per game: Motiejunas (10.1 PIR) and Willy Hernangomez (12.7 PIR in 16:13 MPG).
Motiejunas led Monaco in total points and efficiency in the five-game playoff series against Fenerbahce, averaging 13.2 points (63.6% 2P, 53.8% 3P), 3.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 15.4 PIR in 23 minutes.
In the French championship, Motiejunas posted 7.5 points (58.8% 2P, 34.4% 3P), 3.3 rebounds, and 1.1 assists on average in less than 15 minutes per game.
Motiejunas has played 128 consecutive EuroLeague games, boasting the longest active streak in the league.
