Valencia Basket has decided not to extend Kevin Pangos' contract following a season marred by injury and limited performance.
Valencia Basket have announced they will not be extending the contract of Kevin Pangos, the Canadian point guard who holds a Slovenian passport.
Pangos began the season with EA7 Emporio Armani Milan but transferred to Valencia mid-season after some controversial comments from head coach Ettore Messina.
During his time with Valencia, Pangos played in 12 EuroLeague games, averaging 1.9 points, 2.3 assists, and 1.9 PIR in over 13 minutes per game.
His performance in the ACB was slightly better, with averages of 3.9 points, 1.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 3.7 PIR.
Pangos did not finish the season due to a Grade 3 hamstring tear in his left leg, which he sustained in the last regular-season game of the ACB League.
