NBA prospect Bronny James, son of LeBron James, completed a workout with the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday, reported by Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times.
"James worked out for the Lakers on Thursday," Woike wrote, citing sources familiar with the situation.
"His athleticism, defensive potential, and shooting at the Chicago draft combine have interested the Lakers," the insider added.
The Lakers hold the No. 17 and No. 56 overall picks in this month's draft.
Beyond Bronny's talent, there's a strategic motivation for the Lakers to draft him: it might strengthen their appeal in retaining LeBron James, who has a player option to enter free agency this offseason.
