FC Bayern Munich guard Nick Weiler-Babb has been named the 2024–25 EuroLeague Best Defender, making history as the first player from Bayern to win the prestigious award, voted on by EuroLeague head coaches.
He also becomes the second guard in a row to earn the honor, following Olympiacos' Thomas Walkup, who claimed the title last season.
Weiler-Babb led the EuroLeague with 1.6 steals per game and topped all guards in rebounding, averaging 4.2 boards per contest.
Beyond his defensive prowess, he also made key contributions on offense, averaging 8.4 points and 5 assists per game, providing Bayern with a reliable spark on both ends of the court.
By winning the award, Weiler-Babb joins an elite group of defenders that includes Walter Tavares, Kyle Hines, Dimitris Diamantidis, and Bryant Dunston, among others.
