Orlando was powered by an impressive performance from guard Cole Anthony, who finished with 26 points, 3 rebounds, and 6 assists.
On the other end, Trae Young led the Hawks with 28 points and 6 assists, but his night came to an early end. With five minutes remaining in the game, after making a two-point shot, Young forcefully passed the ball to the referee, resulting in a technical foul.
He continued to let his emotions get the better of him, picking up a second technical shortly after and was subsequently ejected from the game.
With the win, the Magic advance to face the top-seeded Boston Celtics in the first round. The Hawks, meanwhile, will get one more shot at making the playoffs when they take on the winner of the other Play-In matchup between the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat for the final (eighth) seed in the East.
