Barcelona is preparing for El Clasico against Real Madrid with even more rotation problems, as Dame Sarr shockingly left to attend Nike Hoops Summit without club's approval.

Barca's head coach Joan Penarroya is struggling to understand reasoning for that decision:

"It's a huge dissapointment for the club and for the people who have been working with him since he was 15. It's clear that working with young players and retaining them in Europe is complicated with so much money pouring in from American universities."

"These things happen in the summer, but to think that in the middle of the season, a kid goes off to play in a tournament instead of El Clasico tonight, let alone the sheer commitment to the team, I don't know really."

Penarroya understands he has to adapt to the current conditions:

"For those of us who are a little older, it's disconcerting to prefer that, to play in a tournament for young players, no matter how prestigious, than in El Clasico. play-in or play-offs of Euroleague and Liga ACB. Well, you have to adapt to the times," Penarroya concluded.
