Brooklyn Nets forward Bojan Bogdanovic will undergo surgery on his left foot, officially ending his season, says Shams Charania.

Team: Brooklyn Nets
Position: SF, SG
Age: 35
Height: 200 cm
Weight: 98 kg
Birth place: Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina

The veteran sharpshooter has not played at all this year as he continued to recover from a procedure that prematurely ended his previous season.

Bogdanovic joined the Nets in a trade that sent Mikal Bridges to the New York Knicks during the offseason, but his injury has forced him to sit out for the entirety of the 2024 season.

The 35-year-old forward, approaching his 36th birthday, will become an unrestricted free agent once the season concludes.

Bogdanovic had a strong campaign last year, playing 57 games for both the Detroit Pistons and Knicks. He averaged 15.2 points per game while shooting an impressive 45% from the field, 40% from beyond the arc, and 79% from the free-throw line.

However, his season was cut short when he suffered an injury during Game 4 of the Knicks' first-round playoff series against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Nets will now look to adjust their roster as Bogdanovic’s injury impacts their plans for the remainder of the season. With his future uncertain, all eyes will be on the veteran's recovery and potential landing spot in free agency.

The Nets are currently sitting in 12th place in the highly competitive Eastern Conference standings, with a record of 20-34.
