In a recent interview on FanDuel's Run It Back, Gordon hinted at the possibility of competing for a fourth time.
"This is a young man's game. I do still have some sh*t in the tank, I do have some sh*t in the arsenal, I've got something in the back still. But you know it's a long season. If I'm healthy, maybe I'll do it," said the 29-year-old.
With this statement, he joined the other two superstar players who have also expressed interest in potentially competing in the Dunk Contest, adding even more excitement to the possibility of a star-studded showdown.
Gordon previously participated in three Dunk Contests (2016, 2017, 2020), finishing as runner-up each time, twice to Zach LaVine and once to Derrick Jones Jr.
If he enters the 2026 contest, he’ll have a chance to finally secure the crown and potentially face off against reigning three-time champion Mac McClung in a highly anticipated showdown.
For now, Gordon remains focused on helping the Nuggets maintain their strong playoff position. He averages 12.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game, contributing to Denver’s 36-19 record, good for third in the Western Conference.
