Maccabi Tel Aviv has signed a 24-year-old guard Jimmy Clark to a two-and-a-half-year deal, adding a strong defender and playmaker to its roster.
Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv have strengthened their backcourt by signing guard Jimmy Clark III to a two-and-a-half-year contract.
The 24-year-old arrives from Bnei Herzliya, where he established himself as one of the Israeli Basketball Premier League’s top defenders.
Clark has been a standout performer this season, with averages of 14.5 points, 5.8 assists, and 2 steals per game. His playmaking and defense are next-level. He ranks fourth in the league in assists and second in steals.
Maccabi, struggling in the EuroLeague with a 6-20 record, hopes Clark can inject much-needed energy into the team as it looks to build on its recent Israeli State Cup victory.
A former standout at Duquesne University, Clark led his team to an Atlantic 10 Conference title and an NCAA Tournament second-round appearance. He earned two All-Defensive Team selections and an All-Conference Second Team honor.
Clark’s most recent performance against Maccabi was a statement game, recording 19 points, 9 assists, and 7 rebounds while shooting 5-of-6 from beyond the arc. His strong showing likely played a key role in securing his move to the historic Israeli club.
