Ben Simmons is listed as "not with team" by the Brooklyn Nets while he is finalizing a contract buyout. He is out vs. the Miami Heat on Friday night.
Ben Simmons has been listed as "not with team" by the Brooklyn Nets and will miss tonight's game against the Miami Heat as he is finalizing a buyout agreement to become a free agent.
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Los Angeles Clippers and Cleveland Cavaliers are among the teams interested in signing him. Simmons will reportedly meet with the Cavs, Clippers, and Houston Rockets starting Friday.
Simmons, 28, has played 33 games this season, averaging 6.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 6.9 assists.
This has been one of his healthier seasons compared to recent years, which were plagued by back injuries, surgeries, and injections.
He played just 15 games last season, 42 in 2022-23, and missed the entire 2021-22 campaign.
