Luka Doncic has officially begun his tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers, arriving in the city for his first media obligation with the team.
Lakers fans have reason to celebrate as the 25-year-old is set to make his debut for Los Angeles.
According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Slovenian superstar has fully recovered from a left calf strain suffered on Christmas Day. His highly anticipated debut for the team will be on Monday, as he's officially listed as probable, by Underdog fantasy for Feb. 10 game against the Utah Jazz.
Earlier Lakers GM Rob Pelinka said that Doncic is getting closer to his return.
"We have 5 on 5 scheduled tomorrow for Luka, and we're going to take it one day at a time just to make sure that the calf injury is in a good and safe place," Pelinka said during the introductory press conference. "At this point, he's day to day.
"We're going to take it one step at a time, but if all those days go well and Luka feels good and confident, he'll be in a game soon," Pelinka added.
This season, Doncic has averaged 28.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 7.8 assists over 22 games.
