The game between Serbia and Australia opened with a burst of energy, leaving the Serbian team unprepared for the outstanding performance of Patty Mills.

Vasilije Micic admitted their initial struggle to defend Mills.

"We were not ready, especially for Mills. He killed us."

Despite the initial setback, he acknowledged the need to play with relentless effort until the very last second.

"This kind of game you have to play until the very last second like it was today."

Talking about Jokic's ability to maintain focus throughout the game and how important that is.

"A guy who is an example of that is Jokic, stays focused for all minutes on the court, and if he can do that, we all can do that."

Micic praised Avramovic's incredible efforts, particularly highlighting the energy brought by him, which provided a significant boost during halftime.

"We have great guys for that around which did unbelievable efforts. I never saw somebody [like that]. He's not that young, he's my age. So his energy was on the level, and he gave us that boost for the halftime."

Micic explained the team's strong character and unity, even during moments of internal disagreement.

"We do have a strong character as individuals, but I think at the end, for the national team, we always play for the same role, coaches, players, all the staff. So sometimes it's normal that these kind of things happen."

Micic's reflections on the game underscored the importance of staying composed and working together.
