Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat will replace the injured Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid in the NBA All-Star.
After going down with an injury, Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers will leave his place to the big man of the Miami Heat, Bam Adebayo.
According to ESPN, Adebayo, who was picked by the East team coach Doc Rivers, will replace the injured Embiid, who recently went through an operation.
This will be the first time in Adebayo's career that he becomes a starter in the NBA All-Star. Previously, Adebayo was a reserve member of the East team.
Even though he has had a noteworthy career in the NBA and in Team USA, the defensive big man was never selected as an All-Star starter.
This season, Adebayo is averaging a double-double of 20.2 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game on 51% field goal shooting.
