Dovydas Giedraitis will not be able to help his team, Zalgiris Kaunas, against 7bet-Lietkabelis Panevezys in the King Mindaugas Cup final.
The young guard picked up an injury during the semifinal game versus BC Siauliai, announced Zalgiris coach Andrea Trinchieri in the post-game press conference. When asked about the severity of the injury, Trinchieri said the following.
"It's too early, but for sure, he is ruled out for the game tomorrow. That's 100%."
According to BasketNews sources, Giedraitis has suffered an injury to his thigh.
Giedraitis had an effective game for himself despite the injury, scoring 9 points and grabbing 2 assists on 3/4 field goal shooting in just 9 minutes and 9 seconds.
He will sadly miss the chance to compete against his former team, Lietkabelis, which defeated Rytas Vilnius 86-94 to advance to the King Mindaugas Cup final.
