Detroit Pistons have waived Danilo Gallinari, who is set to enter free-agent meetings.
The Detroit Pistons have decided to waive forward Danilo Gallinari, as reported by Shams Charania and James L. Edwards III of The Athletic.
Gallinari, 35, is set to begin free-agent meetings starting Friday, according to the same report.
Gallinari was traded from the Washington Wizards to Detroit on January 14 in a four-player deal.
In a total of 26 games with the Wizards and six with the Pistons this season, Gallinari has been averaging 7.3 points and 2.8 rebounds.
This season marked Gallinari's 14th in the NBA, representing his comeback from offseason ACL surgery that caused him to miss the entire 2022-23 campaign with the Boston Celtics.
