The Indiana Pacers are waiving Furkan Korkmaz, whom they acquired in the deal with the Philadelphia 76ers for Buddy Hield, as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The 26-year-old will now be free to sign with a chosen team once he clears waivers.
Korkmaz joined the Pacers following the Hield trade, where the Bahamian sharpshooter was traded to the 76ers. In return, the Pacers received Korkmaz, Marcus Morris, and three second-round picks.
Korkmaz has averaged 2.5 points over 25 games with the Sixers this season, seeing limited playing time at 8.6 minutes per match.
Throughout his NBA career, Korkmaz has been with the Sixers since being selected 26th in the 2016 NBA draft. He has career averages of 6.8 points and 2.0 rebounds in 328 games.
