NBA veteran Dwight Howard, an eight-time All-Star and NBA champion, is considering continuing his career in Europe. According to BasketNews sources, the 37-year-old center is exploring the European market as a potential route to return to the NBA.

Per BasketNews sources, ProBasket Consulting and Brightside Sports, responsible for managing Howard's affairs in Europe, are actively presenting Howard to European teams, including EuroLeague and EuroCup clubs.

Beyond the NBA, Europe and the NBL league in Australia are the destinations Howard is focusing on.

Howard aims to include an NBA exit clause in any potential agreement, stressing his goal to return to the league where he has spent 18 years of his career.

The No. 1 pick of the 2004 NBA draft played for the Taoyuan Leopards in Taiwan's professional basketball league last season.

In 20 games, he averaged 23.2 points with a 57.7% 2-point shooting accuracy, 16.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.2 blocked shots.

During the 2021-22 NBA season with the Los Angeles Lakers, Howard participated in 60 games, averaging 6.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per 16 minutes.

Throughout his NBA career, spanning 1242 games with the Orlando Magic, Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Washington Wizards, Philadelphia 76ers, and the Lakers (with 1078 starts), Howard has maintained career averages of 15.7 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks.

His accomplishments include being selected to the All-NBA First Team five times and receiving the Defensive Player of the Year award for three consecutive seasons from 2009 to 2011.
