Even though it's considered a temporary suspension, it's unclear if the situation will change until EuroLeague regular-season ends (April 8th).

According to the official press release, if the war situation in Ukraine does not change favorably, all regular-season games versus Russian teams will be annulled to configure the leagues' standings.

CSKA Moscow, Zenit Saint Petersburg, and UNICS Kazan were ranked in the Top 8, so the potential exclusion of these teams would open doors for borderline playoffs teams.

BasketNews made a picture of new EuroLeague standings with Russian clubs results annulled.

The Top 4 remains the same, but exciting changes would be in the second part of the Top 8.

FC Bayern Munich, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, and Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz would emerge as the biggest risers in the standings going up by five positions.

The Germans were only one of three EuroLeague teams that lost all games versus Russian clubs (0-3), so now they would rank 6th instead of 11th.

Maccabi won 1 of 4 and would jump from 12th to 7th.

Baskonia were 17th and now would stand 12th.

The current situation would also go in the reigning EuroLeague champions' favor.

Ergin Ataman's team ranked 9th before the Russians' suspension, but since Anadolu Efes won only 2 of 6 games against CSKA, Zenit, and UNICS, now they would rank 5th.

It's typical that Fener has to suffer the most. They won all of the games against Russian teams (3/3) and it ended up being like a punishment. Hey dear EL mafia, as you act like you have the upper hand against CSKA oligarchs for once, why don't you take the title of 2016 from CSKA and return it to the real champs? That robbery won't be forgotten, fix it when you can...
