Monaco Ukrainian assistant coach Sergiy Gladyr, who showed the message 'Stop war' on his tactic board during the last Euroleague match against Fenerbahce, was interviewed by Marca and was asked about the current situation of his country.

Gladyr, who's from Mykolaiv, in the south of Ukraine, said that he's scared for his family: 'I try to speak to them every two hours", the assistant coach said. "During the day it's more difficult because there are tanks in the city. I'm worried and scared".

Gladyr explained that he still doesn't know what to do to help his family back in Ukraine: "I still don't know what decision to make, I have my wife and two kids here in France, it's very complicated. I don't know what to do, to be honest, I hope that this situation can end soon but it's really complicated".

"I don't sleep, I try to read all the news and speak with my friends back in Ukraine, the last four days have always been like this", the assistant coach continued. "Basketball helps a little bit in disconnecting from these thoughts".
