Luca Vildoza has fully recovered from his hamstring injury and is back in full practice, while Thomas Walkup remains doubtful for Olympiacos' playoff opener after a non-contact workout.
Olympiacos Piraeus are preparing for the 2024-25 EuroLeague playoffs, and they've received some encouraging news ahead of their postseason run.
After spending a month on the sidelines with a left hamstring injury, Argentine guard Luca Vildoza has fully recovered and practiced without limitations on Friday.
Before getting hurt, the 29-year-old appeared in 27 EuroLeague games, averaging 5.3 points, 1.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 5.9 PIR.
Meanwhile, the situation with starting playmaker Thomas Walkup is less clear. He participated in a non-contact practice on Friday, and his availability for the playoff opener remains uncertain.
This season, Walkup has averaged 4.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.1 steals, and 8.0 PIR over 20 EuroLeague appearances.
Olympiacos, the No. 1 seed, will kick off their playoff campaign next Wednesday (April 23).
Their opponent will be decided Friday night, following the final Play-In game between Real Madrid and FC Bayern Munich.
