Nikola Jokic just made more NBA history, and his coach believes it deserves the league’s highest honor.

After the Denver Nuggets 117-109 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night, coach David Adelman didn’t hold back when talking about his superstar center.

"If Nikola doesn’t win MVP, it will be the greatest season of all time to not win MVP," Adelman said, per the New York Times, following another dominant triple-double from the big man.

In that game, Jokic dropped 26 points, pulled down 16 boards, and dished out 13 assists, just another night at the office for the Serbian star. But it wasn’t just a great performance, it marked something even more historic.

Jokic has officially joined Oscar Robertson and his teammate Russell Westbrook as the only players in NBA history to average a triple-double for an entire season.

He’s currently putting up 29.8 points, 12.8 rebounds, and 10.3 assists per game.
