Luka Doncic revealed that his favorite moment with the Dallas Mavericks was the game-winning shot he hit in last year’s Western Conference Finals against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Luka Doncic may have just had his most memorable moment in a Los Angeles Lakers jersey, leading his team to a dominant 112-97 win over his former squad, the Dallas Mavericks, with a stunning 45-point performance.
During his 6.5 years in Dallas, Luka had countless iconic moments, from game-winning shots to unforgettable performances. After the game, he was asked to pick his favorite moment from the emotional tribute video the Mavs played before tip-off.
The former Mavericks star admitted that every moment in the video held significance, but one shot stood out in his mind.
"All of it for sure," Doncic said via ClutchPoints. "I’d probably say the shot in the Conference Finals. We were probably the underdog… We came together and played as a team; it was just on another level."
Doncic was referring to the game-winning three-pointer he hit against the Minnesota Timberwolves during last year’s Western Conference Finals, which gave the Mavs a 2-0 series lead.
The Mavericks ultimately won the series and reached the NBA Finals for the first time in 13 years, with Doncic earning the Conference Finals MVP honors.
