Unusual scenes happened during FC Barcelona's EuroLeague Round 30 home game against Zalgiris Kaunas at Palau Blaugrana.

Early in the second quarter, home fans began leaving the stands in protest, per BasketNews sources.

The protest stems from ongoing tensions between Barca's fan groups and the club's management. Supporters are upset about away fans being seated among them, as was the case last week against Partizan and again tonight versus Zalgiris.

Some fans eventually returned to the arena but chose to remain silent, refraining from cheering or applauding their team's baskets.

Barca ended up winning 82-70.

Comments:
Any violence should be addressed by police and arena security. And there should zero tolerance for it regardless of the supported team home or away. On the other not alowing to buy tickets for the away team in the fear that you will get something like in Camp nou against Frankfurt shows character. Come next year to Kaunas. You will be able to support your team from whatever seats you will get.

You may be omitting this because it's about your fellow Lithuanians, but what sparked the protest was that some Zalgiris fans had to be kicked out due to violent behavior against Barça supporters (same thing happened during the Partizan game).
