In the post-game interview following their match against Treviso, head coach Ettore Messina provided an update on Gillespie's condition.
"Gillespie is in the concussion protocol, and they told me it would be about 10-14 days, but I don’t know the exact timeline," Messina said post-game, via RealOlimpiaMilano.
However, the injury concerns don't stop with Gillespie. Nikola Mirotic is also dealing with an injury, having left Milan’s previous EuroLeague game against Fenerbahce with a hip problem.
Mirotic's situation remains uncertain, though Messina reassured that the team had avoided both a muscle injury and fracture, with Mirotic showing rapid improvement. The coach also mentioned that while Mirotic is eager to play at any cost, the team will remain cautious with his recovery.
Currently sitting tenth in the EuroLeague standings with a 15-13 record, Milan will need all their players healthy and available for the crucial stretch run to the playoffs.
