Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis and his representatives could discuss shutting him down for the rest of the season after Kyrie tore his ACL.
The Dallas Mavericks have faced a string of bad luck following their trade of superstar Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Injuries have derailed their season, with the latest blow being the diagnosis of a torn ACL for Kyrie Irving, which has ended his season. With the team struggling, the Mavs may already be looking ahead to next year.
Shams Charania of ESPN reported that the Mavericks' star big man, Anthony Davis, and his representatives may discuss shutting him down for the remainder of the season after Irving's injury.
"I think he and his representatives are going to have some tough conversations. It's possible that the game we just saw was the last time we see AD this season," Charania said on the Pat McAfee Show.
Davis sustained a left adductor strain in his debut for the Mavericks, and has missed nearly a month of play since the injury on February 8.
Currently sitting in 10th place in the Western Conference with a 32-30 record, the Mavericks' playoff hopes appear slim with their key players sidelined.
