Paul George knows his championship window is closing as he navigates his 15th NBA season. The 34-year-old Sixers star has faced injuries and frustrations, especially with key teammate Joel Embiid also sidelined.
Philadelphia 76ers star Paul George understands the urgency of winning an NBA title as he enters the latter stages of his career.
At 34 years old and in his 15th NBA season, the nine-time All-Star admits that time is running out on his championship hopes.
George has dealt with injuries this season, adding to the frustration of an already challenging year for the Sixers, especially with Joel Embiid also sidelined. Despite these setbacks, he remains focused on pushing forward.
"Each year is a year I can’t get back," the nine-time All-Star said to Keith Pompey of Inquirer. "But I think of myself, as well. I haven’t been in the best physical health this season. It’s been a lot of things going on that I have been trying to battle and fight through."
"So I understand it. I get it. But, you know, for myself as well, it’s frustrating that this stuff keeps popping up for me knowing that that window is closing," he added.
This season, the 34-year-old averages 16.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game while shooting 43.3% from the field.
