Toronto Raptors decided to waive veteran forward P.J. Tucker, who keeps his eligibility to play in the post season, being waived before March 1st.
The Toronto Raptors have waived veteran forward P.J. Tucker, according to Shams Charania of ESPN.

Los Angeles Clippers |
Position: | SF, SG |
Age: | 39 |
Height: | 198 cm |
Weight: | 102 kg |
Birth place: | North Carolina, United States of America |
By waiving Tucker, the Raptors have kept him eligible for the postseason, as any player acquired through a buyout must be waived by March 1 to be eligible for the playoffs.
However, Tucker hasn’t played a single game this season, which makes him less appealing to teams competing for playoff spots.
Tucker began the season with the Los Angeles Clippers before being traded to the Utah Jazz and then to the Miami Heat. The Raptors acquired him in a deal that also brought them a second-round pick in exchange for Davion Mitchell.
Last season, the 39-year-old Tucker averaged 1.6 points and 2.5 rebounds per game in 28 appearances with the Clippers.
