Both players decided to miss all the shots they had to take on purpose as quick as they can, since the teams don't get punished for missing all three shots on one obstacle. Unfortunately for them, they got disqualified.

Wembanyama said he doesn't regret they tried to find a loophole in the competition. He said they were not looking to put in minimal effort, but instead they wanted to find the best way to win the competition.

“I don’t regret it. I think it was a good idea,” Wembanyama commented on this idea, per Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press.

“I mean, if the challenge let’s us do that, there’s a loophole. It means we’re not a problem,” Wembanyama stated, according to Michael C. Wright of ESPN.

According to Draymond Green, it was Wemby's idea to miss all of the shots on purpose.

"In Wemby's defense, he did ask a lot of people if they can do it," Green said, via Dalton Johnson.
