Brandon Ingram has agreed on a 3-year extension with the Toronto Raptors that will earn him $120 million.
Brandon Ingram has moved to the The Toronto Raptors from the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for Bruce Brown and Kelly Olynyk.
Ingram has been sidelined since early December due to an ankle injury. He’s averaging 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists over 18 games this season.
However, his injury won't deprive him of a three-year, $120 million contract extension with the franchise, including a player option in 2027-28, according to ESPN's Shams Charania, who cites agents Shy Saee, Mike George and CEO Rich Paul of Klutch Sports as his sources.
"Brandon wants to be here," Raptors executive Bobby Webster said Friday. "Obviously we’ve been able to talk to his agent and representatives over the last 24 hours or so, and so we’re comfortable with where we are."
The Raptors currently have $137.3 million committed to nine players for next season. With the luxury tax threshold projected at $187.9 million, that leaves Toronto with $50.6 million to round out the roster.
