Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant will be out for at least a week because of an ankle injury, per Shams Charania.

The Phoenix Suns rough season took another hit Sunday night in a crushing 148-109 loss to the Houston Rockets.

The biggest blow came in the third quarter when star forward Kevin Durant drove to his left, rolled his ankle, and collapsed to the floor, grabbing his lower left leg.

Durant is expected to miss at least a week, per Shams Charania.

Durant exited the game and did not return. Suns head coach Mike Budenholzer confirmed that Durant will undergo an MRI on Monday and will remain in Phoenix while the team embarks on a three-game road trip.

"Kevin Durant will undergo an MRI on Monday on his left ankle and stay behind in Phoenix when the Suns leave town for a three-game trip that begins in Milwaukee," NBA insider Marc Stein reported.

This season, the 37-year-old averages 26.6 points, 6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game. He is shooting 52.7% from the field.

Suns who are currently looking for the Western Conference play-in tournament. Sitting in 11th place with a 35-40 record.
