One of their recent acquisitions is veteran forward and NBA champion P.J. Tucker. The 39-year-old is on the final year of a three-year, $33 million contract but is not expected to be part of the Jazz's long-term plans.
According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Utah is exploring the possibility of trading Tucker for salary relief and future draft assets. However, if a deal fails to materialize, the team is prepared to move forward with a buyout.
Tucker has yet to play this season. Last year, he averaged 1.7 points and 2.7 rebounds in 15.7 minutes per game.
