The news was first reported by Donatas Urbonas of BasketNews on January 21.

"I'm really, really happy to be here in Munich and back in Germany," Hollatz told Bayern's official website. "Bayern Munich is a global brand, and representing it feels great. My goal is clear: to win titles, develop as a player, and bring things to the team that it might still need. I'm coming from a situation where I played less, so now playing is my priority."

Hollatz joins a Bayern squad coached by former German national team coach Gordon Herbert, with whom he won the FIBA World Cup in 2023.

During his time at Efes, Hollatz saw limited minutes in the EuroLeague this season, appearing in 11 games and averaging 0.7 points, 0.7 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in six minutes per game.

However, Hollatz will not be eligible to compete in the EuroLeague this season for Bayern, as the deadline for transfers between EuroLeague clubs has already passed.
