LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne have been in pretty good form as of late, as they have won 5 of their last 8 EuroLeague fixtures, improving their overall record to 10-12 and keeping their postseason hopes alive.

However, the squad coached by Pierric Poupet is struggling in the power forward position, especially after Mbaye Ndiaye has been ruled out for the season with a torn ACL, Joffrey Lauvergne is still dealing with a calf injury and Charles Kahudi is down with pubalgia (a soft tissue injury that occurs in the groin area).

Thus, wingman Andre Roberson has been covering the power forward position, while long-time ASVEL veteran David Lighty serves as a back-up on occasion and Paul Mbiya has averaged almost four minutes over five games.

However, according to Bebasket's Gabriel Pante-Jouve, the French side isn't eager to keep relying on a 10-man roster for much longer and the coaching staff has been assigned to find an addition at the '4' position. Since the window for transfers between EuroLeague teams has closed, ASVEL are forced to look for options in other leagues, in accordance with the club's finances.
