After Anadolu Efes' defeat to Besiktas, Shane Larkin addressed rumors of conflict with coach Tomislav Mijatovic, stating on social media, "Stop trying to turn that post-game video into something it isn't."
Anadolu Efes faced a domestic defeat against Besiktas in the Istanbul derby, losing 70-87 on Sunday. Following the game, guard Shane Larkin and coach Tomislav Mijatovic had a tense moment, with the player appearing to express his frustrations to his coach.
However, Larkin later took to social media to clarify the situation, stating that the conversation was misinterpreted.
"Y'all stop trying to turn that post-game video of me talking to the team into something that it isn't," Larkin wrote on X. "That was a message to the whole team and I asked Tomi if he agreed with me with what we need to do moving forward. We all have to be better, and we will."
Anadolu Efes was without Justus Hollatz, Stanley Johnson, Rolands Smits, and Darius Thompson in this game and dropped to a 10-3 record.
They also lost the EuroLeague derby against Fenerbahce on Friday.
