Boston Celtics star Kristaps Porzingis reacted to Janis Timma's death, hoping that the news would be false. Unfortunately, Timma was confirmed dead, with suicide being the most likely cause of death.

Boston Celtics star Kristaps Porzingis reacted to the tragic news of Janis Timma's death.

"Oh nooo, please tell me it's not true," Porzingis wrote on X after the reports emerged.

Unfortunately, it was confirmed that the 32-year-old Timma was found dead, with suicide being the most likely cause of death.

"Human connection is the cornerstone of our mental health. Please, let's look after one another. Rest in peace, JT," Porzingis added shortly after.

Porzingis also posted a story on Instagram, sending a farewell to his former teammate in the Latvian national team.

Timma was a former MVP of the Baltic Basketball League and a long-time player of the Latvian national basketball team.

He played 5 seasons in the Euroleague, suiting up for Baskonia, Olympiacos, Khimki and UNICS.
