Draymond Green labeled Grant Williams' actions during the ejection as "goofy," suggesting that a blindside hit on Jayson Tatum, a former teammate, reflects a lack of awareness and frustration.

The casual NBA fan would likely anticipate such moves from Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green, so it's no surprise that he took to X to react to the entire incident.
"Grant Williams saying it's not intentional fouling JT like that is mad wild. And he smiling about it," Green tweeted. "Thinking a blindside hit 'on ya mans' is a smile-worthy offense means 1 of 2 things… you have zero awareness, or you a goofy…. And both make you a goofy… goofy."
Green added a little spice, suggesting that Williams was frustrated with Tatum for some reason, "He mad at JT about something lol… he was suppose to keep him in Boston lol. JT got a ring, and dude let his frustrations out about it."
After the game, Celtics forward Jaylen Brown expressed disbelief, likening the foul to a "football play." He also questioned the status of Williams' friendship with Tatum, saying, "I thought JT and Grant was friends... I guess not."
On the other hand, Williams defended himself after the game, insisting that the foul wasn't intentional. He explained, "I was trying to make a play on the ball... There was no intentional trying to harm him in any way."
