Spain lost its opening game against Australia on Saturday, meaning the upcoming matchup against Giannis Antetokounmpo-led Greece will be do-or-die.
Nevertheless, Spain's head coach, Sergio Scariolo, believes in his team, even though he understands the challenge La Roja is facing.
"We always compete. Even today, in the second half, we didn't give up," Scariolo said after the loss to Australia. We came back and even had a lead. So it would be surprising if we will not show up [vs. Greece]. Of course, it's a very good team; they have one of the best players in the world."
"I mean, there are many qualities, but on our side, we have to make sure we try to present our best version," Scariolo added.

The Spain's head coach also admitted that the 3-pointers from Josh Giddey and Dyson Daniels came as a surprise, but it was the price Scariolo was ready to pay.
Giddey and Daniels combined for 5-of-8 3-pointers.
"Well, you base your game plan on percentages, skills, and habits based on what players do, right? These 3-pointers were a little bit unexpected. I mean, these are great players; you cannot disrespect them," Scariolo argued. "We didn't [disrespect them], but they were really good."
"Sometimes, shots go in even whey they are taken by not the best shooters. This is part of the game," Scariolo concluded.
