Team USA successfully began their preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympic basketball tournament.

Steve Kerr's squad beat Canada 86-72 (14-21, 27-12, 28-21, 17-18) in an exhibition game in Las Vegas.

Anthony Davis led the way for Team USA, finishing the game with 10 points (5/10 FG, 0/1 3PT, 0/1 FT), 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 4 blocks, and a game-high 22 EFF.

Steph Curry added 12 points (4/7 FG, 3/6 3PT, 1/1 FT), 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and 16 EFF.

Team USA gained control in the 3rd quarter. Davis scored 4 points in a row, then he completed an alley-oop play, while Anthony Edwards sank a 3-pointer, and the Americans finished the quarter on a 9-0 run to gain a 15-point lead (69-54).

Throughout the 4th quarter, Team USA maintained a safe lead and celebrated a convincing victory.

RJ Barrett was the top performer for Canada, finishing the game with 12 points (3/6 FG, 2/3 3PT, 4/8 FT), 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 turnover, and 12 EFF.

Team USA made only 7 of 23 3-pointers (30%), while Canada shot even worse – 7 of 33 attempts (21%).

However, the Americans made 30 of 50 2-pointers (60%), while Canada converted 19 of 44 2-pointers (43%).
