James Webb III has left Maccabi after mutually terminating his two-year deal.
James Webb III has left Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, as officially announced by the team.
The American power forward signed a two-year deal last summer, but it was mutually terminated early.
This past season, the 30-year-old Webb averaged 6.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 6.0 PIR over 39 EuroLeague games. It was his second EuroLeague season, following his 2022-23 stint with Valencia Basket.
Webb began his professional career with the Delaware Blue Coats in the G-League in 2016.
He has also played for the Long Island Nets and Iowa Wolves in the G-League, the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA, Telekom Baskets Bonn in Germany, Larisa in Greece, and UCAM Murcia in Spain. Webb played college basketball at North Idaho College and Boise State University.
Maccabi's offseason has been tumultuous, with Webb following in the footsteps of Josh Nebo, Wade Baldwin, Lorenzo Brown, and Bonzie Colson in leaving the Israeli team.
