Hoard signed a two-year deal to move to Maccabi from their rivals Hapoel Tel Aviv. The 25-year-old power forward is the first offseason signing for Maccabi.

The Israeli team officially announced that the former Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv forward signed a two-year deal.
Hoard averaged 12.4 points and 5.1 rebounds for 15.7 PIR in the EuroCup. His stats in the Israeli Winner League were even better - 16 points and 4.3 rebounds for 20.5 PIR.
"Jaylen is a versatile player who made great progress in the past season in the Israeli League and in the EuroCup," head coach Oded Kattash said. "He will fit the team we are building and will help us achieve our goals in the league and in Europe."
Maccabi are undergoing a significant roster turnaround this offseason following a year of having to play EuroLeague home games outside of Israel due to the ongoing war with Hamas. The leader quartet of Wade Baldwin IV, Lorenzo Brown, Bonzie Colson, and Josh Nebo have left the squad to sign with other teams in the EuroLeague.
