Virtus CEO Luca Baraldi has confirmed that power forward Tornike Shengelia will remain with the team next season, with plans for a multi-year extension in progress.
Virtus Segafredo Bologna power forward Tornike Shengelia is set to stay with the Italian team next season.
Luca Baraldi, the CEO of Virtus, confirmed in a press conference that Shengelia will remain with Virtus for the upcoming season. He also mentioned that the team is working on a multi-year extension for the player.
"Toko Shengelia will be a Virtus Bologna player again next season," Baraldi stated.
The 33-year-old Georgian had an impressive performance last season, averaging 14.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and a 17.4 PIR over 33 EuroLeague games.
Shengelia has been with Bologna since 2022, following EuroLeague stints with CSKA and Baskonia.
