Victor Claver has announced his retirement at 35, concluding an 18-season career that spanned the NBA, EuroLeague, and numerous accolades with the Spanish national team.

Claver, the Taronja captain, has decided to end his distinguished 18-season career, wrapping up his second stint with Valencia, where he played the last three seasons.

Claver began his professional journey with Valencia in 2006 and remained there until 2012, after which he transitioned to the NBA to play for the Portland Trail Blazers until 2015.

Upon returning to Europe, he played for Khimki, Lokomotiv Kuban, and FC Barcelona before rejoining Valencia.

Throughout his career, Claver has amassed a solid collection of titles, including the ACB League championship in 2021, two EuroCup trophies in 2010 and 2015, and three Spanish Cups in 2018, 2019, and 2021.

As a long-time member of the Spanish national team, Claver has also achieved significant success on the international stage. His accolades include three European championships (2009, 2011, 2015), a EuroBasket bronze medal in 2013, an Olympic silver medal in 2012 (London), an Olympic bronze medal in 2016 (Rio), and a World Cup in 2019.

In the past season, Claver averaged 3.4 points and 2.1 rebounds over 21 EuroLeague games for Valencia.
